The kids are off to VBS at St. James's this week. I ask them what they learned, did they sing any songs, who was there, and so on, but the most enthusiastic and complete answers I get are about what was for snacktime.
Yesterday I heard "Goldfish! Lots of goldfish! On a plate! And lemonade!"
Today's refrain was "Stars with frosting on them! Star cookies! And red juice!"
Truly, it's with that much enthusiasm. I did hear a bit today about three wisemen and baby Jesus. I'll be volunteering there tomorrow, so perhaps I'll be better versed for a discussion of the day's activities!
