Babies sleep in cribs, toddlers and kids sleep in beds. Therefore, I've got kids and not babies. Kind of sad, kind of exciting.
Thomas & Gabrielle have been sleeping in their new room (the former guest room) in their new "big kid beds" for a few nights now. It's gone really well, aside from veeeeery late nap times and bedtimes, due to the overwhelming availability of toys, books, and each other.
There's been no falling out of bed, that we know about at least. Of course, they are very mod platform beds, that are 9 inches off the ground, plus a mattress. So it's not so far to fall.
I love it that they've got minds of their own, free wills, and all the fun that goes along with it. Now that they're in the room right next to us, I can hear them as they play and chat before bedtime, and when they wake up way earlier than they should. This morning, it was shouts of "Wake up, Bro bro. WAKE UP!"
I can still call them my babies though, right?
