Dippa, Dippa!

After numerous futile attempts to get Thomas & Gabrielle to eat the foods they are "supposed to" eat, they have recently been introduced to the world of dip. Ketsup, ranch dressing, hummus. As long as it's spreadable and in a bowl, then those vegetables taste better.

"Dippa, dippa!" they cry with delight when they see the little bowls perched on their trays.
There was no dip with tonight's dinner. However, we thought it time that they learn to drink out of a proper cup, i.e. no spout.

So, small plastic cups of milk were set at each place. Thomas tentatively brought it to his lips, and promptly splashed his face, and chest, with milk. Gabrielle, on the other hand, skipped all pretense of docility and dove right in, with similar messy results.

All was well and good, when they realized that while it certainly was fun to drink from a cup, it much more resembled a bowl of ranch dressing.

And thus, for dinner tonight, Thomas & Gabrielle dined on milk-soaked meatballs, green beans, and pineapple. Yum.

I wish I'd been able to take a picture of that delightful concoction, but I did get one after the face. Milk-soaked clothes are not fun to sit around wearing.
